Objects that have been used up of all its worth are upcycled and redefined by the hands of installation artist, Um A Long.

Um used to move around often as a child. Each move left objects easily disposed of and forgotten, which had her wondering about these many leftovers, the etc. Her artworks started from collecting bits and pieces you see around you—from plastic bottles, glass pieces, various disposables—which were later dismembered, realigned, and eventually reborn to what you see here at the exhibition. Having been collected, redefined, and revived, what used to be is given a new role.

While getting a glimpse of the artist’s story and interpretation of disposables, we also delve into a global issue at hand: preserving our environment.
