The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is a non-profit organization which represents an international network of people
composed of 75 National Sections all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.
Jella Lepman Medal is an award given to institutions for their lasting contribution to children’s literature by IBBY.
In 2014, Jella Lepman Medal was awarded to Nami Island for its contribution to the development of children’s literature.
Hans Christian Andersen Award(HCAA) is the highest international recognition award given to an author and an illustrator for their lifelong
contribution to children’s literature which is hosted by IBBY. The Patron of the HCAA is HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
