한국-싱가포르 수교 50주년 기념 그림책 일러스트레이션展 Book Illustrators Gallery (BIG)

 

본전시는한국과싱가포르의수교 50주년을기념하여, 싱가포르도서 위원회와 함께준비한그림책전시입니다.
1975년수교이후, 두나라는외교와경제는물론산업, 문화등다양한분야에서긴밀한협력을이어왔고, 남이섬역시오랜시간동안많은싱가포르관광객들이찾아주신소중한교류의장소였습니다.

남이섬은그동안해외문화예술교류와그림책문화의발전을위해꾸준히힘써왔으며, 이번전시도그노력의연장선상에있습니다.
특히이번에는싱가포르도서 위원회 협력하여, 싱가포르를대표하는국제어린이콘텐츠축제인 AFCC(Asian Festival of Children’s Content)에서선정된우수그림책들을국내에소개하게되었습니다.

전시에는싱가포르작가들의작품뿐아니라, 아시아각국의창작자들과전세계에서활동중인아시아디아스포라작가들의작품도함께포함되어있어, 그림책을통해다양한문화적배경과상상력을경험하실수있습니다.

이전시가한국과싱가포르, 그리고더넓은아시아를잇는그림책문화교류의또하나의다리가되기를기대합니다.

 

This exhibion, co-organized with the Singapore Book Council, commemorates the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Singapore.

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1975, the two nations have fostered close cooperation not only in diplomacy and the economy but also in industry and culture. Nami Island, in particular, has long been a cherished site of exchange, warmly welcoming many visitors from Singapore over the years.

Dedicated to fostering international cultural exchange and promoting picture book culture, Nami Island continues this journey through the exhibition. In collaboration with the Singapore Book Council, we are proud to present a curated selection of outstanding picture books, originally showcased at the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC), Singapore’s leading festival for children’s stories and young adult (YA) fiction.

In addition to works by Singaporean creators, the exhibition features picture books by artists from across Asia and the global Asian diaspora, offering visitors the opportunity to encounter diverse cultural perspectives and boundless imagination.

We hope this exhibition will serve as another bridge of exchange through picture book art, connecting Korea, Singapore, and the wider Asian community.
